Writer and Editor
My name is Georgia Atkin, and I am a writer and editor based in Nova Scotia, Canada. I provide copy and stylistic editing services for a wide range of projects, and substantive editing for poetry and fiction (with a focus on mystery and fantasy fiction).
I write poetry, short fiction, and a smattering of non-fiction, and you can find a list of some published works here on my site (as well as my Creative Corner page, where I post new flash fiction stories from time to time).

Georgia is a consummate professional. She is organized in her approach, showing up to her editing work with clear timelines and intuitive feedback. She was open and clear in her communication despite the challenges of working entirely online, and was very patient through multiple rounds of editing. Her attention to detail sharpened the language I used in my book, clarifying my poetry and helping to identify the steps I needed to take to move forward with my writing.
Georgia and I worked together on a children’s book based on my own memories of growing up as a Lebanese Canadian in Halifax. She was so helpful in asking the right questions to draw out more detail for my story, and offered invaluable insight and feedback on my work.
