My name is Georgia Atkin, and I am a writer and editor based in Nova Scotia, Canada. I provide copy and stylistic editing services for a wide range of projects, and substantive editing for poetry and fiction (with a focus on mystery and fantasy fiction).
I write poetry, short fiction, and a smattering of non-fiction, and you can find a list of some published works here on my site (as well as my Creative Corner page, where I post new flash fiction stories from time to time).

Georgia Atkin has been my wonderful editor for my collection of dark flash fiction, Dark Flashes. She has made my work stronger. I have always said I’m a writer not an editor, and it’s great to have a pro like Georgia working on this book. The quality of the work is great, she communicates well with the client, and she delivers in the time she promises. I’ve enjoyed working with her and will absolutely do so again in the future.
Georgia and I worked together on a children’s book based on my own memories of growing up as a Lebanese Canadian in Halifax. She was so helpful in asking the right questions to draw out more detail for my story, and offered invaluable insight and feedback on my work. I am so happy with the final product and look forward to working with her again in the future.
